Post-Surgical Rehab
Post-Surgical Rehab
Physical Therapy is a vital component to the recovery process following surgery. It is typical to experience several kinds of pain and limitations following a procedure, and participating in skilled physical therapy will help to decrease pain while regaining both strength and range of motion. Physical Therapy helps to decrease compensations and reduce the risk of complications that can occur after surgery. Our goal is to help you achieve YOUR goals; this can be as simple as being able to walk again, being able to keep up with your kids or grandkids or returning to high level competition. Regardless of your goals, post-op physical therapy is an important catalyst to help you get back to being you again.

What to expect from Post-Op Physical Therapy
Exact treatments for post-surgical physical therapy depend largely on the surgery that was done and the individual patient. However, all patients will be evaluated by our Doctor of Physical Therapy on their first visit. Together, a plan will be specifically curated to reach your goals and maximize the outcomes of post-op rehab. Patients can expect to incorporate stretching, pain-reducing modalities, passive range of motion, manual therapy, joint manipulation, muscle activation techniques, strengthening and balance into their therapy programs.
