Massage Therapy
What is Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy is a hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints designed to alleviate discomfort associated with everyday occupational stresses, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes. It can also greatly reduce the development of painful muscular patterning, if employed early enough after accidents involving trauma and injury.

Benefits of massage therapy:
- Increased flexibility of muscles, ligaments, and other soft tissues
- Relieving muscle aches and stiffness
- Increased joint range of motion
- Enhancing general relaxation and stress reduction
- Improved circulation of blood and lymph
- Removal of metabolic waste products from muscles
- Improving immune system functioning
APM's signature technique
Various techniques are used to target and relieve injured muscles and joints, restoring tone and range of motion. Differing from relaxation massage, therapeutic massage utilizes many myofascial techniques to manipulate soft tissue structures and mobilize joints, the overall effect being to restore proper muscle tone and joint motion.
