APM is excited to welcome Lauren Kunstler, LCSW, to our team. Lauren brings over 15 years of expertise in mental health care, specializing in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional regulation in adolescents (12-17) and adults (18-60). With her compassionate and inclusive approach, Lauren is also dedicated to providing LGBTQ+ affirming care in a safe and welcoming environment.
Lauren offers both in-office and telehealth sessions, with sliding scale options available on a case-by-case basis. We're proud to have Lauren on board as part of our commitment to comprehensive mental health services at APM.

Individual outpatient services that can be in person or via telehealth with adolescent and adult clients who present with, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, chronic/acute mental illness, post-traumatic stress, perpetrators/victims of violence or abuse, behavioral or emotional regulation, grief/loss counseling as well as LGBTQ+ affirming work.
About Lauren Kunstler
Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her undergraduate degree in English and creative writing from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and master’s degree in social work from Aurora University. Lauren has a wide variety of experience working with acute mental illness in both the residential setting as well as inpatient psychiatric units and has been working in the field since 2008.
Lauren works with adolescents (ages 12-17) and adult clients (ages 18-60) who present with, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, chronic/acute mental illness, post-traumatic stress, perpetrators/victims of violence or abuse, behavioral or emotional regulation and grief/loss counseling. Lauren also specializes in LGBTQ+ affirming work and strives to ensure her office is a safe and inclusive space.
Lauren is in network with BCBS PPO, Aetna, Cigna, UMR, Optum, and Compsych. Sliding scale options are available on a case by case basis. Lauren sees people both in the office and via telehealth.
