Physical Therapy for Knee Pain

About knee pain
Meniscus injuries are one of the most common knee injuries. The meniscus is a piece of cartilage that stabilizes and cushions the joint. It gives protection during compression forces and supports bone from wear and tear. Knees can lock after a piece of cartilage breaks loose and catches in knee joint. Tearing of meniscus can occur from acute injury during sports or from common knee movements (kneeling, squatting or lunging). This can lead to instability, chronic pain or developing osteoarthritis if left untreated and properly assessed. All knee pain should be properly diagnosed to prevent long-term complications and inability to be physically active at all ages. Reach out about physical therapy for knee pain today!
